Good evening, friends! The Knicks begin the new year tonight against the Blazers, and they'll welcome back a couple stars for the occasion. Amar'e Stoudemire doesn't feel totally great, but feels comfortable enough to debut and play a few minutes off the bench. Excellent.
Better yet, Carmelo Anthony is recovered enough from his hyper-extended left knee to play tonight. He'll start alongside Jason Kidd, Ronnie Brewer (still happening), Kurt Thomas, and Tyson Chandler (whose sprained left ankle isn't a hindrance, I guess, though we'll see about that).
Meanwhile, after that bizarre loss/end to the road trip in Sacramento, New York is looking to rebound against a pretty decent Blazers team. Portland can score pretty effectively when they're on, and Damian Lillard in particular could drive New York's slow-footed backcourt nuts off the dribble. Should be a good 'un.
Comment along here and check out Blazer's Edge for Portland things. Please don't post large photos, .gifs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Get 'em, Knicks.
