Good morning! I woke up a little late today, so let's just get right into the game thread. Some pre-game updates:
- New starting lineup! Carmelo Anthony will move back to the four, James White will stay at two, and Chris Copeland (after hardly playing in most recent games) will step in at small forward. Woodson:
#Knicks Woodson on Melo: "I'm going to move him back to 4 today and just see how it goes."
- Amar'e Stoudemire will still come off the bench, but Woodson has license to play him for up to 30 minutes now.
- The Knicks practiced Saturday. They've been practicing, not taking rest days. No rest for the shitty, ya know?
Meanwhile, these are not the same Hornets the Knicks blew out in late November. Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon are healthy, Greivis Vasquez is putting up statz, and they've won four straight with improved defense (improved over near-worst in the league, but still). The Hornets have been a better team than the Knicks have in 2013.
So, starting at noon, the shorthanded Knicks can either find a way to win before they set sail for London, or they can carry a four-game losing streak with them across the Atlantic Ocean. If you're watching, comment along here and check out the excellent At The Hive. Please don't post large photos, .gifs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Go the Knicks!
