Hey, I'm glad that game didn't count, because if that game did count, it would have been a game in which the Knicks lost to the Bobcats! And they played a fairly normal rotation and tried and stuff, too. The Knicks had some beautiful moments of passing and three-shooting and even defending, but all the starters besides Iman Shumpert shot poorly and the three-pointers dried the hell up in the second half. Once it got close in crunch time, the Knicks just kept losing track of Kemba Walker off the dribble, which is probably something to keep in mind.
Kenyon Martin, Amar'e Stoudemire, and J.R. Smith each made their preseason debuts in the new Garden's basketball debut, and they all looked pretty nimble out there. They actually played some of the most productive minutes of, well...any of the Knicks.
So yeah, didn't count, but it would have been nice to see a pretty realistic group of Knicks beat the shorthanded Bobcats. Oh well. Recap in the morning!
