This team, man. I'll recap this in full later, but the Knicks just played perhaps their silliest games of the year. They gave hardly an eighth of a shit for much of the first half, more or less punting away offensive possessions while the offensively woeful Cavs hit 80 percent of their shots and went up by as much as 22. Mid-way through the second quarter, Carmelo Anthony went down with a weird knee injury. From that point forward, the Knicks took over, sawing off portions of the lead with flurries of three-pointers until they'd actually pulled ahead in the fourth. Then they made a couple big plays down the stretch and won the damn thing. Amar'e Stoudemire, playing just a hair over his prescribed 30-minute limit, led the way with 22 points on 15 shots off the bench. Tyson Chandler made a huge tip-out of an offensive rebound and an equally huge block of Kyrie Irving to seal the victory.
The Knicks!
