Game 4 Thread: Knicks at Celtics- 4/28/13

The Knicks look for a sweep in Boston.

Jared Wickerham

Good afternoon! It's almost time for Game 4, which means we might be hours away from the Knicks winning their first playoff series since basketball was invented in the year 1310. They'll go for the sweep without J.R. Smith, who is suspended for trying to fix Jason Terry's face with his elbow. Without J.R., it's "next man up" for Mike Woodson: Chris Copeland could rejoin the rotation-- and, to me, makes the most sense as the guy to inherit weak-side-catch-and-do-something-or-try-and-create-in-isolation-if-all-else-fails role-- and even James White or Quentin Richardson could see the floor before garbage time (If it's Quentin, get ready for more suspensions.)

The Celtics, meanwhile, will go back to Brandon Bass and their bigger starting lineup after a threeish-guard set with Jason Terry floundered in Game 3.

I hope the Knicks win and get the sweep, and from what I heard after Game 3, I'm confident they won't take the opportunity lightly. If they do sweep, I hope they follow up on Manchize's idea and sweep the floor with Iman Shumpert's hair. If not-- the Celtics aren't likely to go down without a battle-- there's always the next one and the next one and the next one.

Tip-off is at 1. The game is on ABC and not MSG. Comment along here and check out Celtics Blog as well (and be nice). Please don't post large photos, .gifs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Go the Knicks!
