Game Thread: Knicks vs. Wizards- 4/9/13

The Knicks face the Wizards with a chance to clinch the Atlantic Division.

Rob Carr

Good evening! After a couple hours locked out of my apartment, I have returned to my computer in time for the Knicks game. It is a meaningful game, as the Knicks can clinch the Atlantic Division with a win (or a Brooklyn loss) and get closer to clinching the second seed with a win (or an Indiana loss) as well.

Tyson Chandler, as expected, won't play tonight. Mike Woodson says it's just rest because of residual soreness from the OKC game. Fine. Kenyon Martin will return from the sidelines to take Chandler's place, but Woodson will try to limit him to 20-25 minutes. Fine. Martin's return denies us a magical starting lineup with Chris Copeland or Steve Novak at the five, but we'll get plenty of small-ball minutes anyway.

It's the Wizards tonight, by the way. They're a pretty good team these days, though they do most of their pretty gooding at home. Somebody-- perhaps Iman Shumpert or Pablo Prigioni-- is gonna have to try to slow down John Wall, and the rest of the bros need to prevent the kind of wild three-point explosion that sunk the Knicks when they visited DC in February.

Tip-off tonight is at 7:30. Here's your spot to comment. Here's the very splendid Bullets Forever. Please don't post large photos, .gifs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Get 'em, Knicks.
