Game 2 Thread: Knicks vs. Pacers- 5/7/13

Let's make it 1-1.

Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports

Good evening! It is nearly time. After a very disappointing Game 1 against the Pacers, the Knicks really need to take the rematch before the series heads to Indiana. I think of it this way: Win, and the Knicks are now starting from scratch in a five-game series in which they are the lower seed but get to play Game 5 at home. Lose, and the Knicks are probably boned.

We've discussed the many ways the Knicks need to adjust to avoid further disaster in this second game. I hope they stay small, find new ways to attack (or circumvent) Roy Hibbert's defense, and make much better defensive rotation themselves. With the Pacers, there's also the lovely possibility that shots suddenly stop falling and the Knicks have only to play offense to win the game. Indiana's not always as spot-on as they were Friday.

The refs tonight are Joey Crawford, Sean Corbin, and Derrick Stafford, which probably means something. Steve Novak has been activated (bye, Earl Barron), though it's unclear whether he'll actually play or not. Charlie Widdoes has some good updates on what Frank Vogel and the Pacers are thinking and planning heading into tonight.

Tip-off is at 7 PM. The game is on TNT and TNT alone, which is going to be torture. Comment here and visit the excellent Indy Cornrows as well. Please don't post large photos, .gifs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Even it up, Knicks!
