Tim Hardaway Jr. out for New York today

He's resting his sore wrist.

USA TODAY Sports

Hey, so I'm heading over to UNLV in a bit, but before I go, the Knicks have updated on Tim Hardaway Jr.'s status for today:

Hardaway banged his wrist reaching for a loose ball yesterday, and I've seen the injury alternately called a "sprain" and a "bruise". X-rays were negative, though, and despite the Knicks' always frightening "day-to-day" label, it sounds like he's fine. The Knicks might let Hardaway sit out the rest of Summer League, or perhaps they'll bring him back later in the week when the tournament starts. You know, saving him for the playoffs.

I suppose this is good news for guys like J'Covan Brown, Justin Brownlee, and Chris Smith, who should get some more wing minutes alongside future Hall of Famer Toure Murry. Tip-off's at 4 Eastern!
