Okay I'm breathing. I'm breathing. Breathing.

IMAN SHU-- Iman Shumpert. Hi. I'm breathing now. Iman. I missed you so much. Do you want a piggy back ride? I don't think I could support you because you're a much bigger person than I am but I'd be willing to give it a try if that's what you want. Did you know that you just scored 27 points on 13 shots-- including a huge three and tip-in in the final minute-- after scoring 26 points on 34 shots in your LAST SIX GAMES COMBINED YOU DID IT SHUMP YOU WOKE UP IF ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT LET'S MOVE TO THE ALPS AND MAKE A LIFE TOGETHER WE CAN BE SHEPHERDS JUST US TWO SORRY I'M YELLING AGAIN BREATHE BREATHE breathe

Breathe. Okay.

Holy shit I forgot what that was like. Really, like, I forgot what it was like to care. I can't remember the last time I sat here and watched the Knicks and actually felt feelings during the action. I have been totally glazed over for like a month now. I feel like I could throw up in the best way. The Knicks didn't turn a corner or anything, but they moved the ball beautifully and made their open shots right up to the final buzzer while the Spurs went cold against New York's consistently forgiving defense. The Spurs came back, but the Knicks survived it. That never happens anymore. Never. Especially not against the Spurs. So this was pretty cool.

I loved that. It wasn't even much, but I loved it and I feel fantastic. I'll write y'all a full recap tomorrow.
