Watch Carmelo Anthony help cut off a man's finger (on Sons of Anarchy)

Not even a fat new contract could curb Melo's blood lust.

Everyone knows that New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is nothing more than a me-first GLOREEE BOY. If you still need more proof, just check out what he was doing on the eve of the team's season opener -- instead of getting some early shut-eye or studying some game film, he's handing over a knife so his buddy can slice off some poor guy's finger in this Sons of Anarchy cameo.

What does this have to do with learning the Triangle offense? On one hand, it is grossly illegal and immoral. On the other hand, he has been criticized in the past for his lack of passing and defense. He certainly passed that knife, and cutting off an opponent's fingers could be construed as an effective means of defense. You tryin' to tell me Charles Oakley never cut off a dude's finger?

This cameo is not Melo's first foray into television acting -- he's been on SVU and Nurse Jackie since joining the Knicks. His work on Sons did not include much dialogue, so we added our own:

Between Melo and Jose Canseco, this has been a busy evening for high-profile athletes severing fingers.
