Good evening! The Knicks play the second of a back-to-back, first in a road trip, and second in a four-games-in-five-nights stretch with a visit to the winless Pistons tonight. I'd really like it if the Knicks keep the Pistons winless! They'll need to defend the paint and run their offense better than they did Tuesday night to do so. Perhaps. Maybe they won't need to do that.
He's had a quiet start to the season, but everything is set up for this to be Tim Hardaway Jr.'s night. He's playing in the state of his alma mater against the team his dad assistant coaches, and minutes have been vacated for him by the suspension of J.R. Smith, which I assure you was arranged by fellow Michigan alum Glen Rice via his son. It's a big Michigan conspiracy, and it's going to lead to Tim dropping 63 points tonight. Yes, the Knick record. I didn't believe it either when I uncovered the truth.
Lineups! Detroit's going mega:
Stan Van Gundy says Pistons will start Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond in the front court tonight vs Knicks.

The Knicks are changing things up a bit:
Fisher says Knicks will start Larkin, Shumpert, Melo, Jason Smith and Dalembert to counter DETs bigs.

Fisher says Stoudemire will anchor his second unit as center tonight.
