Now that the deadline has passed without a deal and Iman Shumpert is still on the Knicks, the organization can confirm that encouraging injury news they'd been leaking to try to get a deal done!
An MRI on Iman Shumpert's left knee revealed a sprained MCL. He is expected to miss approximately two weeks.

That's really good, even on the sliding scale of MCL sprains (which can be many-week things). I was worried Iman had torn something when I saw him go down.
Shump projects to return in March sometime, at which point he can hopefully take one last month (give or take the playoffs????) to develop some rhythm and promise in New York and/or trade value if they still wish to trade him. Feel good, Shump.
The Knicks are back in action in the first of a back-to-back Friday night in Orlando. Let's catch our breaths, eh?
