Final Score: Knicks 117, Nuggets 90

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Man, that was so much fun. I am more than happy to set aside the gloomy context of a losing season and the reported sitting-duck-ishness of the head coach and the scary schedule ahead to get positively JAZZED about the Knicks steamrolling an opponent like they did tonight. The Nuggets showed up totally unprepared to defend, and New York KILLED them. They moved the ball like champs, getting lovely looks for Carmelo Anthony (who led the way with 31 in 33 minutes), easy pick-and-roll finishes for Tyson Chandler and Amar'e Stoudemire, and, eventually, made open threes from the corners. Even their defense looked sharper, with some nice collapsin' on pick-and-rolls and useful jumping of passing lanes and stuff. Somehow, they forced enough turnovers (24) to make up for their own sloppiness.

'Twas an absolute joy of a game. We don't get many of those. I'll have a recap up later or tomorrow morning. Have a splendid rest of your night!
