James Dolan releases statement on Donald Sterling ban

The Knicks owner finally spoke up.

The Star-Ledger-USA TODAY Sports

You can keep up with all the Donald Sterling stuff here. Adam Silver just announced that Sterling is banned from NBA activities for life and suggested the league will do everything possible to force him to sell his team. Knicks owner James Dolan, who said nothing prior, released a statement right after Silver's announcement. Here it is:

"I have been in touch with the NBA and fully support Commissioner Silver's decision. I applaud Adam for acting quickly and decisively in appropriately addressing these disgusting and offensive comments. This kind of behavior has no place in basketball, or anywhere else, and we as a league must stand together in condemning this ignorance."

Tyson Chandler's around today too, although not exactly dressed for the occasion.
