[deep breath]
Rumor has it Derek Fisher is the frontrunner for the Knicks coaching job, but since Fisher might not become available for a while, Phil Jackson also favors other Lakers friends like Jim Cleamons, Luke Walton, Kurt Rambis, and even Brian Shaw despite Shaw's public statement that he's happy with the Nuggets, because those guys are familiar with the Triangle, although it's possible Jackson would accept a bigger-name coach without a Triangle background like Mark Jackson, in which case Jeff Van Gundy miiiiight also be interested and the two hottest college names-- Fred Hoiberg and Kevin Ollie-- could also get a look, though they seem pretty settled where they are, and whoever gets the job will probably have old Jackson guys like Bill Cartwright, who already got an interview, and/or Scottie Pippen, who just had a conversation with Steve Mills that we're supposed to assume was meaningful, as assistants.
Got it?
