For most of us, the highlight of last season was Carmelo Anthony breaking the single-game franchise and MSG record for points in a game with 62 against the artists formerly known as the Charlotte Bobcats. It was a glorious evening.
More records fell at the Garden this week, and once again Melo was involved. As was Amar'e Stoudemire and owner James Dolan. If this turns out to be the highlight of the 2014-15 season, I'm officially quitting the Knicks.
Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist also took part, as did some guy who may or may not be John McEnroe (third from the right) and a creepy albino-lookin' dude (far right).
The world record was not actually broken, but they raised more money for ALS research, so good for them!
This photo is not free from controversy, however. Dolan is not wearing his ubiquitous fedora, and both Melo and Stoudemire are wearing hats. Is Dolan forcing his players to wear hats now? Did Melo steal Dolan's hat? Conspiracy theories abound.
