Hi! The Knicks are back in the United States and back to playing basketball games. Yuck! Here's what's up tonight:
Fisher said Early will probably be inactive tonight; said he turned his ankle over the weekend.

fisher said the starters likely will be Calderon, Galloway, Carmelo, Jason Smith and Lou Amundson

1. Feel better, Cleanthony, if you are indeed hurt.
2. So yeah, Melo's playing. Amar'e, too, though perhaps on limited minutes. This remains frustrating.
3. The magic of the 2014-2015 Knicks is embodied in that starting lineup: Two guys who combine to make like $100K-200K on their 10-day contracts and one guy who'll make $22.5 million this year who we wish wouldn't play.
4. The 10-days for Amundson and Lance Thomas are up soon.
#Knicks had a workout Saturday. Bargnani did not participate. Fisher says decisions on Lance Thomas & Amundson will be made after tonight.

With no ill feeling whatsoever toward those guys ... I hope the Knicks let them go and dig a little deeper for some more 10-day auditions. Giving minutes to known, proven players doesn't really help anyone at this point.
Who are the Knicks even playing? Who cares? I just looked and apparently it's the Pelicans. Cool. The Sixers and Wolves are getting steamrolled today, and it's in the Knicks' best interest to do the same. Woo!
Tip-off is at 5:30 EST on MSG. This is your game thread. This is The Bird Writes. Please don't post large photos, GIFs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Knicks.
Update: Oh man, the Pelicans are gonna make this hard.
No Anthony Davis (toe) and no Jrue Holiday (ankle) for Pelicans tonight vs #Knicks.
