I propose to you good people a thought experiment. Let's say we went back in time to September and told our past selves that the New York Knicks will defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder, 100-92, on the night of January 28, 2015.
"Cool," our past selves say. "Good to hear."
We tell them that five Knickerbockers scored in double figures, and we ask them to guess the five players. Naturally they guess Carmelo Anthony (31 points and 10 rebounds tonight). Most of them select Tim Hardaway Jr. (14 points). Perhaps even a few adventurous souls come up with Jason Smith (11 points, 11 rebounds and six assists WHAAAT?)
But what would you do if a fan guessed Langston Galloway (18 points) and Lance Thomas (17 points)? Well you'd have to burn that fan, because he is clearly some kind of wizard.
Gimpy Melo and the 10-Day Crew continue to thumb their noses at convention, my friends. The Knicks have won four of their last five games. Nothing makes sense anymore.
Stayed tuned for a recap from Stingy.
