Knicks unveil a new championship belt and other Monday practice notes

Three players are out, one shiny-ass belt is in.

The New York Knicks have not made the playoffs since Rasheed Wallace retired. Coincidence? I think not!

It warms my heart, then, that the coaching staff is bringing back one of Sheed's most glorious innovations: the championship belt!

No word yet on who won the belt, but Bondy did provide us with a few wonderful Andray Blatche anecdotes:

I wouldn't want to see Blatche on the Knicks, but I do miss that crazy bastard.

In other news, Fisher remains cryptic as to the identity of the team's Opening Night starter at shooting guard with Arron Afflalo on the shelf with a hamstring injury:

Also, it looks like the knee problems which Kevin Seraphin some preseason playing time haven't quite gone away:
