Preseason Game Thread: Knicks vs. Bauru - 10/7/15

There is a Knicks basketball game tonight! New York's first exhibition of 2015 will take place at home against the Brazilian club Paschoalotto Bauru at 7:30 on MSG.

Derek Fisher, of course, had to address his run-in with Matt Barnes during pre-game availability, and did so as efficiently as possible. On to more relevant things:

Lineup will be Calderon, Vujacic, Melo, Porzingis, Lopez.

First of all: Kristaps Porzingis starting! That'll be an exciting first challenge for him, albeit well below an NBA-level one. (Don't get me wrong, though -- if the Knicks mess around, they could definitely get beaten by some team from Brazil.)

Second of all: Sasha Vujacic starting! Arron Afflalo is out with a hamstring injury, otherwise I'd expect him to start. Sasha starting in his stead isn't that surprising now that I think about it, but I wonder how much thought was given to letting Langston Galloway or even Jerian Grant take that spot.
