Good afternoon! The Knicks have themselves a matinee today, hosting the Lakers at 3:30 EST. The Lakers have been pretty terrible to start their season -- worse than the Knicks have -- so this is either a chance for the Knicks to get things together or it's a trap game. So far, L.A. hasn't been able to defend anyone, but they've got guys like Jordan Clarkson, Nick Young, and D'Angelo Russell to attack the Knicks' backcourt defense and, ya know, any day could be the day Kobe Bryant wakes up, especially the day he's at MSG.
Speaking of attacking the Knicks' backcourt defense:
The Knicks will start the same five-man unit today. Calderon & Vujacic are in the backcourt.

It will be the same backcourt defense to start the game. We'll see how Derek Fisher manages things from there.
Meanwhile, I'm excited to watch Kristaps Porzingis battle Julius Randle. It is a constant joy to watch Kristaps get challenged by opposing forward of all shapes and sizes.
Tip-off today is at 3:30 on MSG. Please don't post large photos, GIFs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Please be kind to one another, and to visitors from Silver Screen and Roll, which is a great blog you should check out and at which you should also be kind to everyone. Go the Knicks!
