Good evening! The Knicks start a western road trip tonight with a visit to Utah. The Jazz have also arrived back in Salt Lake City recently after losing in Sacramento Tuesday night. The Jazz are okay -- pretty similar to the Knicks, actually, in both the way they play (slow pace, a lot of mid-range) and their overall efficiency numbers. Utah's without Rudy Gobert for a while, so they've been starting Trey Lyles in a smaller lineup alongside the mighty Derrick Favors, with Trevor Booker also in the mix for heavy frontcourt minutes.
I hope the Knicks win. This would constitute a decent win over a non-terrible team, which is something they haven't bagged in a while. After some sloppy, sleepy performances, it'd mean sooo much for them to start this trip on a high note the way they did last time they went west (but maybe finish the trip better this time).
This, by the way, is the first of a back-to-back, as the Knicks will visit Sacramento tomorrow to complete this little round robin.
Tip-off tonight is at 9 PM EST on MSG. This is your game thread. This is SLC Dunk. Please don't post large photos, GIFs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Please, please be kind and respectful to one another, D.A.R.E. to resist engaging with stupid comments, and just try to relax and enjoy yourself no matter the course of the game. Go the Knicks!
