The first thing you need to know: he's Porzingis is tall as hell:

Young Kristaps was born in Ventspils, Latvia, on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Ventspils is the sixth-largest city in Latvia. It's name literally means "castle on the Venta." Will Porzingis become an impenetrable castle on the Hudson? Let's hope so!
Here are some videos of Porzingis speaking words and getting buckets:
As you may have noticed, our man Kristaps is fluent in the English tongue. He's had plenty of practice in assimilating himself into the good ole U-S-of-A:
"He has a great sense of American culture," a Kristaps Porzingis teammate told me. "He goes on WorldStarHipHop every day."— Ben Cohen (@bzcohen) June 26, 2015
You better believe the dude is ready to turn Knicks fans' draft-night frowns upside-down.
Knicks fans boooooooing Kristaps Porzingis... And crying. Made my night! pic.twitter.com/ARBPHAi7A1— John Clark CSN (@JClarkCSN) June 26, 2015
Porzingis on the fans booing: "I have to do everything in my hands to turn those booing fans into clapping fans." Atta boy. #Knicks— Nick Powell (@nickpowellbkny) June 26, 2015
Kristaps is also looking to earn the respect of his new teammate, Carmelo Anthony.
"Whatever Carmelo wants me to do, I will do that ... just to prove that I'm worthy enough to be on the court with him," Porzingis said.— Scott Cacciola (@ScottCacciola) June 26, 2015
Aw...you're worthy, big guy!
Fellow draftee Karl-Anthony Towns appreciates Kristaps' suit game. Did we just witness the seeds of a future "K & K" frontcourt?
Kid brought his parents from Latvia, which was nice of him.
And he made this Vine, which, I dunno...
In conclusion, Kristaps Porzingis is a man of contrasts.
