Maurice Ndour was awesome in Summer League. Maybe too awesome for the Knicks' own good. Other teams who fancied Ndour could outbid the Knicks for his services, and they did:
Maurice NDour has agreed to a deal with Dallas, per league sources. Sources say Mavs offered more guaranteed money than #Knicks.

It's tough. You don't want to overreact to a Summer League performance and give a dude real, guaranteed money and a roster spot before he even proves himself in exhibition games, but you also don't want to lose a guy you like. Ndour's effort around the glass, his sense for the Triangle, and the range on his jumper were pretty enticing.
One can only hope the Knicks' reluctance to bite off as much money (guaranteed money, which is far from a given for camp invites) as the post-DeAndre Mavericks did doesn't come back to haunt them. I hope whatever remaining contracts they're gonna hand out don't look stupid in this context.
Good luck in Dallas, Maurice! I enjoyed our time together.
Update: Here are the details of Ndour's contract from the Mavs:
Mavs gave #Knicks summer leaguer Maurice Ndour a 3-year deal. First year guaranteed. Half of the 2nd year is guaranteed, per league sources.

Yeah, that's a big commitment.
