Woj: Knicks will sign Robin Lopez to a 4-year, $54 million deal

Here it is, as expected:

That's a touch higher than expected, but still around what big men of Robin Lopez's caliber (and below, honestly) are getting paid this week.

The deal contains no options, which is surprising and somewhat unusual for this free agency period:

More on Lopez's fit here. I like the signing. I'm happy the Knicks have a big man who can defend and make life easier for others on offense. Lopez is a strong and reliable but incomplete player, and the Knicks are paying him like one in this free agency market. I think they'll be considerably better for it.

The Knicks will have something like $7-9 million left in cap space after this.
