Shortly after the Knicks made it official with Kristaps Porzingis and Jerian Grant, they also made the move to waive the most splashy, Ricky Ledo. The Knicks needed to waive him or else have his $100k contract guaranteed. For some reason no reporters were clamoring to be the first to expel the news like trapped wind. The big guns were on it, though.
Knicks waive guard Ricky Ledo, per email and Twitter announcement from team.

Ledo didn't make a huge impression with New York at the end of the 2014-15 season. In twelve games he was unable to carve out consistent minutes on a broken team. He ultimately seemed to be a step below Alexey Shved. Then in Las Vegas, where the stakes were high, Killa 'Cardo could barely usurp Jimmy Baron's pointed minutes.
What's next for the 22-year old is very much unknown. Possibly back to the D-League. All is not lost for you Ledo-sanity types. You can still chill with Ricky at his skills camp, where over-dribbling might actually help you improve.

Let's pour one out for Lumbering Ledo's nonchalance and effervescence. I'm sure he'll come to the Garden and drop 30+ on us before it's all said and done.
