The Knicks held their first Summer League practice in Las Vegas today. They're doing two-a-days, but Kristaps Porzingis is only doing half of that so far:
.@kporzee practiced last night. Sat out of day session as precautionary measure. He'll be back for tonight's session. #Knicks

That's because of the hip thing, which is apparently still a thing, although ...
Porzingis (hip) on his first summer league game: "I'm good to go." Says he feels no more pain.

Fisher said porzingis is trending toward playing Saturday.

Maybe not THAT much of a thing, so that's good. It certainly sounds like Porzingis will participate at some point even if he's not ready Saturday.
Meanwhile, it looks like Derek Fisher really is part of the Phil Jackson coaching tree:
Porzingis walked out of practice with a book in his hand. Says Fisher gave him "The Positive Dog" to read, and he's already finished it.

I was not familiar with that book, but it sounds ... positive.
