Report: Knicks to sign Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Knicks and Thanasis Antetokounmpo finalizing two-season, partial-guaranteed deal, source said.

It sounds like Thanasis Antetokounmpo will come to camp, with outs built into his contract if the Knicks decide he's not a fit. This signing burns New York's draft rights to Thanasis, so if the two parties separate, he's a regular ol' free agent.

Thanasis still looked pretty unpolished in his second Vegas Summer League with the Knicks -- rough on offense and a bit wild on defense. He had one fantastic game, though, and he comes in with a clear sense of how New York's system works. The energy will always be there, for better or worse. Training camp will be his chance to demonstrate some ability to channel that energy into useful production. Go get 'em, Thanasis.
