Game Thread: Knicks at Nets- 1/13/16

Good evening! First, the news:

Carmelo Anthony (ankle) is out tonight. Lance Thomas will "more than likely" replace him in the starting lineup, per Coach Fisher.

That seems wise. It sounds like Melo's relatively fine, and the Knicks don't play again til Saturday. So this gives him a head start on what will hopefully be a long enough period to get the ankle right.

Meanwhile: The Nets! They're hurt, they're in disarray, and they've been losing a lot. Could they sneak up and beat the Melo-less Knicks on the second night of a back-to-back? I dunno, maybe. I hope not! I like to think that if New York carries over the energy and clarity they've shown over the last week or two, and if Arron Afflalo and/or Kristaps Porzingis and/or Anybody assumes some of the scoring and playmaking burden, they can beat the Nets pretty easily. We shall see!
