The Westchester Knicks traveled to ... some place in Canada to take on Raptors 905 Saturday evening. So Canadians are using numbers in place of words to represent places now? No wonder the value of their dollar is cratering and they never win the Stanley Cup.
The Numberaptors are stocked with recent first-round draft picks, and they made mince meat of Westchester on this night. Bruno Caboclo notched a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds), Delon Wright dropped 20 points, and even Anthony Bennett got in on the action (19 points) in a 107-94 victory. If Anthony Bennett whoops your ass, but it happens in the D-League, does it count as an embarrassment? I think I'm going to bring that question to my morning meditation session.
Highlights!
Travis Trice and Jimmer Fredette continue to do stuff! Unfortunately, not much of that stuff came from beyond the arc : Jimmer was 1-8 from three, Trice was 1-6. Darion Atkins (12 points, 6 rebounds) was the only other Westchestrian to reach double figures.
The W-Knicks have now lost five of their last six, dropping out of first place. Save us, Baron Davis ... you're our only hope!
