Knicks center Joakim Noah, who has missed all three preseason games with a hamstring strain, practiced for the first time on Wednesday ... and promptly injured his ankle tangling up with JP Tokoto. Both Noah and Lance Thomas sat out practice on Thursday:

Fear not, friends, for Noah is still expected to start New York’s next preseason game, on Saturday:

Apparently Jeff Hornacek has been slow to add new wrinkles to the offense with Derrick Rose out in California attending to his trial. That kinda sucks. Rose will continue to miss practices and preseason games, and now the coach is considering sending an assistant to L.A. to get the point guard up to speed, per Marc Berman:
“We’re right now trying to think of if we should send somebody out there with him. We haven’t added a lot of new stuff from the time he left. We’re talking to him about the stuff we’re doing. He’s watched the games to try to see it.”
As for the young guns, Ron Baker has been gifted a new nickname:

He’ll always be Ron to me, though.
Here we have Kristaps Porzingis, JP Tokoto and Willy Hernangomez doing some serious teamwork:
