What was previously deemed a facial contusion has now been tested, aaaaand unfortunately Chasson Randle cracked a bone in his face during practice:
A CT scan on Chasson Randle last night confirmed a left orbital fracture. He will be re-evaluated by a specialist tomorrow.

It seems safe to assume Randle's preseason is over. Whenever he returns -- which could be a little while, since orbital fractures sometimes require surgery -- he'll probably be wearing a mask. The question is whether that return will be with the Knicks, where I think he's played well enough since July to take someone's roster spot, or with the W-Knicks as an assigned cut, or somewhere else entirely. Bummer timing. As a fan of Chasson's, I will break my own face in solidarity. It's only right.
Side note: If you're reading this Sunday and want to watch the open practice live, it appears you can do so here.
