If there’s such a thing as a championship hangover that starts with opening night of the following season, the Knicks sure had one. Cleveland just totally waxed the new look New Yorkers. I wouldn’t get too wrapped up in it. There is a lot of work to be done if they intend to make a playoff push. It wasn’t all bad. It was just really easy for the Cavs.
Oh well. Hey look it’s the first basket of the 2016-17 season!
One set, one bucket with the left by Derrick Rose to get the #Knicks on the board this season. pic.twitter.com/hwtfu7pYF5

Hey look, some fun stuff that is reminiscent of old Knicks Triangle stuff but it’s very much not. Très impressiveness.
Although the Knicks just got completely rocked, the team was not entirely missing the defensive feistiness you’d hope from a New York team. It was just rare.
Sadly. Very rare.
The fellas showed some signs of life on the offensive end too, not that it felt like it. When the car can shift gears you might be able to make up some ground.
