The Derrick Rose rape trial began earlier this week. A jury was selected, and now the opposing sides are giving testimony. Rose has testified, and his accuser has testified.
This is an incredibly sensitive topic, so we here at P&T are going to leave the coverage to journalists who are attending the trial. Here are some links, as well as the Twitter accounts to follow for all the details:
- From The Post’s Julia Marsh: “Derrick Rose calls for a mistrial, says accuser deleted texts.” Her Twitter feed is a valuable source of trial information.
- From the Daily News’ Nancy Dillon: “Derrick Rose’s lawyers want mistrial in rape lawsuit, saying accuser withheld text asking NBA player why he didn’t sleep with her friend.” She is also a must-follow on Twitter.
- From The Wall Street Journal’s Chris Herring: “Derrick Rose Accuser Details Alleged Sex Assault at Civil Trial.”
