Make it four in a row at home! The New York Knicks put together perhaps their finest defensive performance of the season Sunday afternoon in a 104-94 win over a tough Atlanta Hawks team. They are now 5-2 at the Garden.
Kristaps Porzingis notched himself a double-double in the absence of Joakim Noah with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
We saw primo 2015-16 Dad Melo in this game, not only with his scoring (31 points) but also with some massive late-game rebounding and some clutch second-half passes once it looked as if the offense had stagnated.
Brandon Jennings was feisty ... maybe even feistier than usual.

You don’t wanna catch these hands, Atlanta!

Speaking of feisty, the three-headed backup center (Kyle O’Quinn, Willy Hernangomez and NBA debutante Marshall Plumlee) held down the position extremely well, with KOQ playing his best game of the season and Willy shutting down Dwight Howard in a fourth-quarter stretch that was so beautiful I cried like a baby.
Great game. Recap to come.
