The Knicks had been covering up for a lot of mistakes during their three-game winning streak, particularly their tendency to fall behind early and crawl into their traditional iso-shell late. But those failings came back to bite them Saturday night in a 107-102 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on the second night of a back-to-back.
The Knicks fell behind by 20 points in the first quarter, but continued to chip away at the lead until Carmelo Anthony gave them a lead in the second half:

Still, Melo’s iso-tendencies were at their worst in this game, particularly late.
Kristaps Porzingis had himself a very Kristaps kind of game, with lots of fun stuff like this. Love the craftiness:

Oh, and in case you were wondering if he can still hit the three ...

... he can.
The starters pretty much did all they could to give the game away early, but then Brandon Jennings came on like a flaming golden hawk and helped turn things around:

Derrick Rose had absolutely no chance of staying in front of Kemba Walker, but at least he got to make up for it once with this sweet-ass block:

Knicks back to .500 and still can’t win on the road. Recap to come.
