The Knicks have been assigning their rookies to the D-League for one-day practice sessions

Maurice Ndour, Marshall Plumlee, Willy Hernangomez and Ron Baker have all practiced with the D-League club.

We are only five days from the start of the Westchester Knicks 2016-17 regular season, but I know what you’re thinking: I can’t wait that long, dammit, I need some W-Knicks news now!

Well you’re in luck, friends, because the Knicks’ official PR feed is giving us sweet W-Knicks training camp updates featuring real-life Big ‘Bockers:

Yessir, Maurice Ndour, Marshall Plumlee and Willy Hernangomez practiced with the W-Knicks Monday. Nice. Those guys need work. Ndour got to play on Friday, but he picked up five fouls in just under seven minutes.

This is the second time the Knicks have sent youngsters to Westchester for practice only to call them back up to the bigs; they also sent Ron Baker to join Ndour and Plumlee on Saturday:

It seems weird that the Knicks must constantly send out press releases for these one-day practice sessions, but rules is rules, y’know? The Knicks youngsters need work, and this is a great way of getting them practice time. And who knows, maybe one or two of them will take the court for Westchester in the opener.

On to the D-League playoff!
