The Knicks were finishing up a long road trip, playing in a city where they never win (Denver), and they played fairly standard Knicks defense. The results were predictable: a blowout loss.
The Nuggets shot approximately 149% from the field and 287% from beyond the arc. New York defenders struggled to protect the paint, and overreacted in the style of a true Kurt Rambis-coached D by completely ignoring the three-point line. On offence, Kristaps Porzingis struggled shooting yet again, and Carmelo Anthony cooled off after a blistering hot first half.
Seriously, look at how hot he was in the first half:

Willy Hernangomez set a new season high in point while player in front of his brother, Denver’s Juancho:

The best highlight of the evening, from the Knicks’ perspective at least, came from Ron Baker’s wildin’ posse of fans. Bakerites always travel well.
