Wassup in Westchester: Chasson Randle follows up his 38-point Friday with a 36-point Sunday

Pretty strong weekend.

Chasson Randle’s weekend of annihilation continued Sunday afternoon with 36 points on 13-24 shooting (7-9 from three), 4 rebounds and 5 assists in a 120-106 win over the Austin Spurs.

Add that to his 38-point performance Friday night and that’s 16 threes in 20 attempts for the Westchester Knicks guard...over the weekend. Randle started Friday’s game shooting an embarrassing 26% from beyond the arc; now he’s sitting at an impressive 39.5%.

Sunday’s game showcased a little bit more of Randle’s all-around offensive game, as he racked up those 5 assists against only 2 turnovers. The Stanford grad has had a serious problem with turnovers so far this season.

Other W-Knick notables include Jordon Crawford, who scored a career-high 32 points on 13-18 shooting.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Every D-League team should have at least one Jordon Crawford on their roster. If I’m gonna watch second-rate basketball, I demand to watch a 5’6” water bug skittering around the court, nabbing bucket after bucket. It’s fun for the whole family!

The W-Knicks are now 8-4 on the season.
