The New York Knicks, who suck right now, sucked even harder Friday night than they had been sucking recently. They sucked their way into a 104-92 defeat at the hands of the New Orleans Pelicans. It was boring and dumb and also dumb and boring.
There were some nice lobs to Kristaps Porzingis early.
No worries, @kporzee will take care of it. #NYKvsNOP #Knicks pic.twitter.com/wtXonzNEYJ

He also showed off the handles on this fast break, only to be rudely fouled by Anthony Davis.

But in the second half the Knicks decided to counteract the Pelicans’ small-ball lineups by running isos and post-ups over and over. Yes, it was the exact same strategy that various Knicks coaches have been employing since the 2013-14 season and no, it didn’t work this time either. Kristaps in particularly was ghastly shooting from the block, leaning too hard on the bank shot from awkward angles over smaller defenders.
Derrick Rose had a couple of nice dunks.
This deserves a RT to vote for @drose #NBAVOTE #NYKtoNOLA pic.twitter.com/rPjw3PKSYL

He also got absolutely butchered by Jrue Holiday and didn’t register an assist until inside the four-minute mark...of the fourth quarter.
Recap to come. Blurrrrgh.
