Not that they usually get that much attention, but the Westchester Knicks were flying waaaaay under the radar on Tuesday. Their parent club was in chaos, producing new headlines by the minute, while the W-Knicks were playing an 11:30 a.m. game in Iowa (post-caucus Iowa, which won't be relevant again for the next 45 months or so).
Perhaps that lack of attention was for the best, as the W-K's blew a double-digit halftime lead, scoring a paltry 29 points in the second half en route to a 93-85 loss at the hands of the Iowa Energy.

BONUS THANASIS-TO-JIMMER ACTION!
Thanasis didn't quite make an airtight case for a return to the big time: 8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists. He shot 4-10 and missed all four free throws. He has been in a colossal free-throw shooting slump after hitting over 75% from the charity stripe over the first two months of the season. The kid gets his points around the rim, which means it is imperative he regain his stroke from the free throw line.
The W-Knicks head into the D-League All-Star break with a record of 18-14. They remain in the thick of the playoff race, but have struggled of late. Get it together, guys! At least one Knicks club should be winning!
