The end of 2015 was all about Kristaps Porzingis, and it would appear that the beginning of 2016 is no different. You better believe it, folks: Kristaps keeps on gobbling up Rookie of the Month awards:
Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis was named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for January. It's the third time he's received the award.

Odd as it may seem given the Knicks' inconsistent overall performance, January was Kristaps' finest month to date. Zingis Khan averaged 15.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists with a season-best 53.7 true shooting percentage. He shot 37.5 percent from beyond the arc, which is just stupendous.
Kristaps might need to watch his back, though, because some up-and-comers like Indiana's Myles Turner could make a run for February's crown. This rookie class is insane.
Kristaps Porzingis was 4th among rookies in per-game scoring, 2nd in rebounding & tied with Karl Anthony Towns for 1st in blocks in January

Kristaps is ready for you, Eastern Conference rookies! He's now halfway to the coveted 2015-16 Rookie of the Month sweep. Maybe someone should show the awards list to Denver coach Mike Malone, so he can finally learn Porzingis's name.
