That Dylan Murphy thinks he's soooo great. The Fort Wayne Mad Ants wunderkind assistant coach -- and friend of the site -- may have that D-League championship ring, but there is still something even he, with his fancy basketball wisdom, is powerless to stop.
I'm referring, of course, to Jordan Bachynski. The Westchester Knicks center was a man among boys Thursday night, dropping 25 points and 8 rebounds on Fort Wayne. He partnered with starting point guard Travis Trice (20 points, 10 assists) to lead Westchester to a 98-86 win in the team's first game since Jimmer Fredette was called up to the big club.
Highlights!
Bachynski:
Trice:
Look at our boy Travis Trice showing off the fancy handles, hesitation dribbles and Pistol Pete passes! It couldn't have been easy for the point guard to play all those minutes alongside another ball-dominant guard in Jimmer. His overall shooting numbers are still pretty bad for the D-League -- 43.3 FG%, 33.1 3P% -- but he has been trending steadily upward after a slow start. Per NBA.com:
Keep up the good work, Jordan and Travis!
