The New York Knicks took to the practice court Saturday ... well, most of them did, anyway.
Carmelo, Porzingis and Afflalo didn't practice today. Rambis said medical staff told him Melo needed the day off.

Kurt Rambis said the medical staff recommended Carmelo Anthony take a day off. He didn't know specifics but it didn't seem serious.

Arron Afflalo is working through a thigh bruise, while Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony seemingly were awarded a plain old-fashioned rest day. The big news here is that a New York Knicks medical staff is being cautious with a player, and a coach feels compelled to listen to them. I for one salute our new responsible medical staff overlords!
The rest of the team had a light practice, and some youngsters stayed around for some extra shooting under the watchful eye of the Zen Master:

Important O'Quinn note: He loves classical.
The DJ has switched things up at Knicks practice. Now playing: classical music. Kyle OQuinn, while shooting: "I love classical!"

And finally ... happy birthday, Triangle offense pioneer Tex Winter!
Happy 94th Birthday to Coaching great Tex Winter! Preparing our Teams to play vs your "Triangle Offense" was so challenging.

May all your days be merry and your triangles equilateral.
