The New York Knicks has a brief shootaround Saturday morning leading up to their 7:00 PM matchup with the Washington Wizards. Interim head coach Kurt Rambis had a few roster updates for us.
The starting backcourt of Jose Calderon and Sasha Vujacic shall remain the same, despite Calderon's injured calf and the fact that Sasha Vujacic is Sasha Vujacic:
The Knicks say Jose Calderon will start tonight against Washington. Calderon missed much of the 2nd half vs. GS due to a calf injury.

Sasha Vujacic will start at shooting guard and Arron Afflalo will come off the bench tonight against Washington, the Knicks say.

A hobbled Calderon taking on John Wall? Whatever, bruh. It is interesting that Afflalo will come off the bench for the third game in a row since he returned from an abdominal injury. He played 35 minutes against Golden State (???) so it's clearly not a health issue.
One Knick who is clearly still suffering health issues is Lance Thomas, who was sent back to New York for a second MRI:
Lance is dealing with a deep bone bruise but just needs time to heal. He should be fine. https://t.co/TXWCG3vq1m

Thomas's breakout 2015-16 was a major bright spot for the Knicks. It would suck not to see him again this season, but I seriously doubt the front office lets him get away in the summer.
