Wassup in Westchester: W-Knicks take another step toward the D-League playoffs

W-Knicks 103, Raptors 905 98

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Westchester Knicks trucked up north of the border on Saturday and beat the Raptors 905 by the score of 103-98. Trailing by three at the half, the Westerbockers broke the game open with a 34-14 third quarter, then weathered a late-game collapse that would have made their big brothers in New York proud.

The hero of the game was center Jordan Bachynski, who dominated the 905 to the tune of 24 points (11-17 shooting), 12 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Cleanthony Early scored 18 points on 8-14 from the field and grabbed 7 rebounds. He shot 0-3 from beyond the arc.

Highlights

There are no highlights from this game for some reason. Personally, I blame the Canadians. Their fascist government has suppressed D-League highlight packages for far too long!

The Iowa Energy also won Saturday, which means Westchester's magic number for clinching the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference is now 2. Even if Iowa were to win out, the W-Knicks can clinch by winning two of their final four games. I really had to think about this stuff ... it's been so long since a Knicks team was in the playoff hunt this late in the season, I had forgotten how the math was supposed to work.
