The New York Knicks are bringing a contingent to this week's NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. No word yet on whether or not Phil Jackson with attend, but there will be a special guest star!
The #Knicks are expected to have Steve Mills, Allan Houston&Kristian Petesic at the NBA Combine, source tells @SNYtv.Want to add 2nd-rounder— Adam Zagoria (@AdamZagoria) May 11, 2016
Kurt Rambis is in Chicago with the Knicks at the NBA's draft combine with GM Steve Mills & other front office members, per league sources.— Ian Begley (@IanBegley) May 11, 2016
RAAAAMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! *shakes fist toward the heavens*
Now before you start sharpen your pitchforks, let's remember that Rambis was always going to be involved in the team no matter what happens with the coaching search. He went to the Combine last year with Derek Fisher, Steve Mills and most of the same gang. The best case scenario here is that Rambis is transitioning to a front office role. Just keep him on the payroll, Phil Jackson. MSG has been keeping guys like him on the payroll for years.
No word yet on whether super-scout and friend of the site Clarence Gaines will attend, but we're on the case.
@ClarenceGaines2 you going to the combine, my man?— Joseph Flynn (@ChinaJoeFlynn) May 11, 2016
We'll keep you posted.
