The Knicks, league sources say, have interviewed Jeff Hornacek for their coaching job along with Kurt Rambis, David Blatt and Frank Vogel.

Isola says it was today:
Jeff Hornacek's interview with Phil Jackson was today in LA, according to a source. Hornacek also a top candidate for Warriors assistant job

I have nothing positive or negative to say about Jeff Hornacek except that he once whooped my ass in ping-pong and I'm still mad about it. This underscores two things, though:
1. The Knicks are legitimately considering candidates other than Kurt Rambis.
2. Word of that consideration takes a little while to surface (and given that other Hornacek rumors are emerging simultaneously, this would appear to be leaked from his end.)
Oh, and if Hornacek has any preexisting connection to Phil Jackson or Steve Mills or any prior history with the Knicks at all, I don't know about it. (He was once Kurt Rambis's teammate, if that counts!)
