Courtney Lee will sign a 4-year, $50 million deal with the Knicks

The starting five is complete!

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

The Knicks were seriously in the market for a solid shooting guard, and on Saturday night they finally got their man. Courtney Lee is officially coming to MSG!

The 30-year-old Lee is a true shooting guard -- he played 88 percent of his minutes there last year, according to Basketball-Reference -- who can slide over to the 3 in small-ball lineups. He's hit 38.4% of his threes during his eight-year career, averaging just shy of 10 points per game, with very little variation from year to year. The dude is as solid as they come.

As with Joakim Noah, the Knicks probably shouldn't have gone to four years, but they definitely got a player who perfectly suits their starting lineup. No word yet on how much cap space the Knicks will have left to play with, but it won't be much. Phil Jackson now has to fill out the bench. But New York now has their most intriguing starting five since, I dunno, 2011-12? I can't wait!
