There's nothing better than slapping around the Clippers. Friday afternoon the Summer Knicks ran the Summer Clips off course and ashore. Ron Baker led the way in this here shipwreck and seemed fairly satisfied with his team's hustle and determination. Ronald had a few tasty dishes and some starchy defensive sides that paired nicely with his 20 big points.
"Baker the Shot-Maker," said Clyde. That'll do.
Chasson Randle, a.k.a. everyone's favorite Stanford Cardinal (now that Robin Lopez is no mas), went half-mast today with 14 points to go with several boards and dimes. The Knicks flat out rolled on these fools though. Everybody that played, played pretty well.
It's still Orlando Summer League and it's a very drab affair. Quiet and mildly upsetting to look at if we're being honest. The Knicks can be proud today though, they even mushed their lead up to 31 at one point. The Clippers fell to 0-5 where they rightfully belong. The butt heads can't save you. New York improved to 2-3, both of their wins coming against the Clips.
No Las Vegas for the Knicks this year. However, maybe there will be someone who can't find a camp invite out in Sin City and the Knicks will bring them in to rub bellies with Willy (Hernangomez). Speaking of which, Captain Ron reiterated in the post-game that he will be in camp in September. Perhaps his showing and Chasson Randles' exploits will help mitigate the loss of Langston Galloway.
No Marshall Plumlee today, aw. Ron Baker looks like his dad was Jaws. Stay cool, summer league, it was really nice getting to know you.
